論語]-논어(The Analects of Confucius )를 읽어보자 #18

이전에 1독 하였던 [논어] 다시 읽으면서, 제가 좋아하는  좋은 글귀 공유위해 올립니다.
광고는 아닙니다. 다만 글솜씨가 없어서 소감이 짧을 뿐입니다.
I read The Analects of Confucius  once before, and am reading it again. It is not an advertisement. However, I do not have enough writing skills, so my writings is short.

互鄕,難與言, 童子見, 門人惑. 子曰, 與其進也, 不與其退也,唯何甚, 人潔己以進 與其潔也 不保其往也

호향난여언, 동자현, 문인혹. 자왈, 여기진야, 불여기퇴야,유하심 인결기이진 여기결야, 불보기왕야
호향이라는 마을은 풍속이 고약해서 그 마을 사람들과는 말이 통하지 않았다. 그런데 어느날 그 마을에 사는 한 소년이 공자를 만나러 왔다 제자들이 당혹스러워 하자 공자가 말하였다.
"옳은 길로 나아가려하는 사람은 받아들이고, 퇴보하는 사람과는 함께 하지 않으면 되는 것인데, 그렇게 심하게 굴 필요가 있느냐? 사람이 몸과 마음을 깨끗이 하고 다가오면 그 깨끗함을 받아들이고 과거의 잘못은 묻지 말도록 하자.

The village called Hougangyu was so bad that it did not communicate with the people of the village. One day, a boy living in the village came to see Confucius. When the disciples were embarrassed, Confucius said.
"If a man is going to come in the right way, we must accept him, and we must not be with him who is in the wrong. Do we need to be so bad? When a man cleanses his body and mind, Let's not blame the wrong.

학연,지연,혈연이 요즘은 많이 사라진 것 같습니다.
다른 환경에서 크거나, 조금이라도 다르면 서로 어울리기 쉽지 않을 수 있습니다.
하지만 열린 마음으로 다가온다면 열린마음으로 대할 수 있도록 노력해야겠습니다.

There seems to be a lot of school, regionalism and bloodline disappearing these days.
If they are slightly different or have being in a different environment, it may not be easy to get together.
But if someone come to me with an open mind, I will try to be open minded.
